The Schoodic Peninsula is a scenic part of Downeast Maine home to Schoodic National Scenic Byway, Acadia National Park’s Schoodic Point, Schoodic Education & Research Center, Schoodic Arts for all, and the Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium.

We stopped at the site of the new campus forSchoodic Educational Research Center and it is beautiful. The Grand Opening Ceremony was on Wednesday, they opened with a drum circle and smudging ceremony that was very powerful.
The Opening Prayer is led by Reuben “Butch” Phillips. Also pictured are the Burnurwarbskek Drummers.
Please join us on Saturday, September 10th for a Paint Winter Harbor Day, meet Arlene Shoemaker at the Winter Harbor Library at 10am, check in and then spend from 10am-2pm painting. If the artist wishes we are offering the chance to sell the painting/s you created.
The Auction and Reception to follow will be held at Hammond Hall, Main St. Winter Harbor. Meet Betty Weidner at 3pm, she will host the silent auction that will end at 5pm.
